CyberSolace / Cyber Response
When an incident hits,
clarity comes first.
Contain the disruption. Understand what happened. Get your business moving again with a clear plan for recovery.
Independent advice and practical support for the decisions that cannot wait.
Contain the incident. Build the evidence. Recover with confidence.
Two ways we can help
Support for the situation you are in.
A live incident and a readiness gap need different starting points. We help you respond now, or prepare your organisation to respond better.
Dealing with an incident?
Suspected compromise, disrupted systems or exposed information: start with the immediate impact and the decisions your team needs to make.
Business-hours support, with mobilisation within 24 working hours. Out-of-hours support is available by prior arrangement.
Preparing for one?
Give your team a plan they can use under pressure. Test responsibilities, communications and recovery decisions before they are needed.
During an incident
Bring structure to a difficult situation.
We connect the technical investigation with the operational decisions your business needs to make.
Contain the impact.
Assess what is affected, prioritise critical operations and limit further attacker activity. Support covers ransomware, data breaches, malware, insider incidents and business email compromise.
Establish what happened.
Collect and analyse evidence to understand the entry point, scope and attacker activity. Use the findings to guide containment, recovery and discussions with your legal advisers.
Recover securely.
Remove attacker access, address the weaknesses involved and support a controlled return to service. Where data is lost or damaged, specialist recovery laboratories can support the work.
Reduce the risk of a repeat.
Turn lessons into prioritised improvements. If continued monitoring is needed during recovery, we can arrange managed security monitoring through our established partner network.
Our response framework
A clear route from preparation to recovery.
The work follows the incident, rather than a rigid checklist. These five phases keep immediate action connected to longer-term resilience.
- 01
Prepare
Agree roles, escalation routes and response priorities. Build plans and exercise the decisions your team may need to make.
- 02
Contain
Understand the immediate impact and limit the spread of the incident, with critical business services in view.
- 03
Eradicate
Identify and remove attacker access and persistence, and address the weaknesses that enabled the incident.
- 04
Recover
Restore services through agreed priorities, checking that recovery does not reintroduce the compromise.
- 05
Improve
Review the response, document lessons and set practical priorities for strengthening your security.
Technical response
Business decisions
Before an incident
A plan your team can actually use.
Good preparation gives people clear responsibilities and a shared way to make decisions under pressure.
- Incident response plans and practical playbooks.
- Tabletop exercises that test decisions and communications.
- Retainer arrangements that define how support is activated.
Planning can also draw on an independent assessment of your current security position.

What happens next?
01
Who leads the response and decides what takes priority?
02
How do you brief staff, customers and other stakeholders?
03
What evidence do you need before restoring a service?
Rehearse the decisions. Find the gaps. Improve the plan.
A useful first check
How ready is your response?
Use our incident response preparedness self-assessment to explore your current position and identify areas for a closer look.
An indicative check based on your answers. It complements an independent review of your response capability.
Before you get in touch
A few practical questions.
Can you help if we already have an IT provider?
Yes. Response work needs to fit the team and suppliers already supporting your organisation. We agree responsibilities, access and coordination as part of the engagement.
How quickly can you respond?
Our default service operates during business hours, with mobilisation within 24 working hours. This timeframe is measured in working time, rather than 24 elapsed hours. Out-of-hours support is available by prior arrangement.
Do you support ransomware incidents?
Ransomware response is part of the service. The immediate priorities are understanding the impact, containing the compromise and planning recovery. Any negotiation support is considered within the agreed scope, alongside your legal advisers.
What about reporting and legal obligations?
We help establish the technical facts and support coordination with legal counsel and, where appropriate, law enforcement. Your organisation and its advisers remain responsible for decisions on notifications and reporting obligations.
Can you provide monitoring after an incident?
Where ongoing visibility is needed during recovery, we can arrange managed security monitoring through our established partner network. The scope and responsibilities are agreed separately.
Make the next decision clearer.
Discuss incident support, a response plan or an exercise for your team.
