This UK Government Review considered whether there is more that Government can do to require or incentivise good cyber risk management in organisations.  The Review notes that the upcoming General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will be key to ensuring strong organisational data protection regimes supported by strong cyber security.

CyberSolace believes the outcomes of the review were not bold enough and could have at least explored imposing a Director’s Liability regulation around cyber risk management as a mechanism for improving corproate and business behaviour towards cyber risk management.
